Random pictures

Ok, so I know most people visit our blog to see pictures of Cole and not read my pearls of wisdom so here are so random pictures from the past few weeks:

Relaxing in the recliner in my orange (not burnt orange) outfit. Thanks Aunt Sue:)

Playing with my tummy time toy. Thanks Aunt Didi!

Finally got out the bumbo. Cole: "Why is that crazy dog licking my bumbo seat?"

The way the light reflected in his mouth makes it look like he has teeth!

Yum, seafood!

Baptism

Sunday was an amazing and blessed day with Cole being baptized. We were pretty nervous as he had been a little cranky that morning but he was in a great mood when Pastor Kip took him down the aisle for the congregation to see him and when the Holy Water was placed on his head. I teared up then and a little now just thinking of what a special moment that was and the first step on his faith journey. What a wonderful task God gives us as parents to be teachers, caregivers, doctors, cheerleaders and so much more to the little angels He blesses us with.

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6

Cows

For our 3 month birthday (has it been that long already!?), we made the first trip to the country (some land that was Russell's grandparents near Somerville) where his dad runs some cows. I'm not sure if Cole was more interested in the cows or them in us as they have never heard baby noises before! We look forward to going out the more often as he gets older to go fishing, feed cows and just mainly get out of the city (yes, I know College Station isn't like Houston or Austin but it is crazy with all the students and construction).
Three generations
I just liked this picture:)

Friends

Even though I love being at home with my little guy, I have started missing adult, non-goo/ahhh/oohh conversations. Two weeks ago, we started having a weekly lunch with another friend, Meghan, who is at home with her 14 month old daughter Lizzie. It has been so much fun having another mommy to visit with and Cole is completely fascinated with Lizzie! He watches her as she walks around and plays with her toys. And Lizzie likes to give Cole hugs and shares her toys with him! I'm excited to watch them enjoy playing together even more as they get older.
Sharing some hugs during tummy time.
Wow, Lizzie is so cool!

12 weeks old

Yesterday was Cole's 12 week birthday and next week he will be 3 months old! Every age milestone is just amazing because it seems like we have known him forever and could not imagine not waking up to see that gummy smile in the mornings. Other milestones are awesome too like yesterday when he rolled from his tummy to his back by himself! I'm not sure if the "whoa" look on his face was from the rolling over or Mommy jumping up and down and screaming like a crazy person! Here is a new picture of the birthday boy and one with all three of my boys!

Hands

Over the past few weeks, we have discovered the wonderful world of hands. We suck them, chew them, look at them with amazement as our fingers move through the air, hold them (looks like he is praying...so cute!), grab for things in front of us, hold things and this morning we passed a small toy rattle from one hand to the other. I wonder when the wonderful world of feet will begin...

Going to work with Daddy

Most everyone knows Russell and I try to eat pretty healthy and enjoy working out (which I am slowing easing back into). Well, part of eating healthy is eating several small meals a day which requires a pretty decent sized lunch box to tote all those snacks to work. Well, Nana (my mom) came over the other day and thought Russell's lunch box was just right for Cole. Popcorn anyone? And here is a pic of our 11 week old boy enjoying tummy time. I wish I could video him so everyone could see how much he moves his legs when he pushes up...if he moved his arms like his legs I think he would be crawling already!
