MMM, chocolate!

This picture reminded me of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory where the fat kid (not that I think my child is fat!) had his face stuck in the chocolate river! And no, we did not feed our 7 month old chocolate, that is actually prunes...yumyum! This was when he still let us feed him and didn't clamp his mouth shut and shake his head no. According to the experts, he is asserting his independence and we should let him feed himself. Tried that for a few days and was beginning to wonder if those experts worked for Clorox or some other cleaning company as food was everywhere! But Dada stepped in with his magic touch and the spoon started making it into the mouth (with food on it!). As soon as I have some time, I will download the video of Cole feeding himself and the several missed attempts:)

Undecided

My cousin and aunt made one of these shirts for her little boy during Christmas and it was so cute so me and my mom made one for Cole. I was glad to have something crafty to make because alot of my friends have been making fun, crafty things for their little girls but it was all too girly to make for Cole. The reason the title is undecided for this post is that I couldn't decide between "I'm too sexy for my tie" and "C. W. Meier, CEO". I will let the reader decide:)

7 months photo shoot

Wow, I can't believe we have been parents of this happy and healthy baby for over half a year now! I don't have alot of time to post so I will put his most recent "accomplishment": touch and feel books. He loves those and any regular book he tries to feel the page only to be disappointed! Here is my attempt to become proficient with my camera and not pay alot of money and hear my child cry the whole time at a studio.

Happy Birthday Makayla!

Our niece Makayla turned one last week and her party was this weekend. She has been a little picky about food lately but dove into her cake. Who wouldn't want icing over carrots?!

Too cool

I have been eyeing (spelling?!) these at Target for awhile so I was really excited that my Aunt Sue got Cole these for Christmas!

Cole: "What are you putting on my face!?"

I would love to say he get's his coolness from me, but obviously not.

As always, being a good poser for the camera. I was informed by my Mom-ma today that he gets that from me because I liked to ham it up for the camera ... I don't know where she ever got that idea (that's me with my awesome popple and my mom is prego with Emily)!
